You can't have good movies without really bad ones right? Well have I got a story for you! I am a fan of most found footage, but we have gone too far. The age of social media has people with really bad ideas all aflutter. The new trend is "live feeds" and it's ridiculous. Dashcam is reliant on a very stupid premise without much sense. The character portrayal is even dumber, and it's a movie where you don't fucking care about anyone in it at all. As a matter of fact, you spend most of your time watching it wishing someone would really get hurt.
The premise here is that a woman, who is gaga over maga, travels to the UK to harrass a friend. I would never hit a woman, but here I would make an exception. She is over-the-top annoying and you grow to hate her to be honest. All of the characters are kind of super annoying, but the main character hits a new level. Anyways, she decides to Uber and picks up a creepy old lady. Then they run around in the woods and scream a lot. That's kind of it. End of story. Maybe someone dies or something, Idunno. Now we can get to the annoying part!
I found a new pet peeve in movies, and it's "live streaming" with comments going a flutter and a movie going on, it's really a hard watch, especially when the actor is responding to comments. It's too fucking busy to be enjoyable. I despise this new era of found footage, and I hope it's only a spark that will quickly die out. I was not impressed, at all, the best thing about this movie was the ending credits, but hey, go see it and judge for yourself.
