Siblings of Samhain: Trioxin

"When I was 5 a movie called Return of the Living Dead stole my heart and started a spree of horror obsession. So first of all to have an entire EP based on the franchise already kind of won me over. Once I hit play, I realized I had to strap in for this ride. It took me to a lot of fun places. From start to finish I only wanted more."

-Craig

"So as into Horror as I am I'm late to this genre of music I found about a year ago with a different band. However, I was absolutely blown away and can't wait to discover more! Siblings of Samhain Killed it! Pun intended."

-Terry

"With songs that have catchy tempos and progressions, percussion that is on point, and singing that draws you in, The Siblings of Samhain enthral you with their latest offering “Trioxin.” The album wastes no time bludgeoning its listeners with raw, unadulterated awesome. 3.75 headbangs out of 5 would recommend, will listen again."

- Matt

"Ok. Due to my lack of free time currently, and my phone being a complete POS, lol, I was only able to hear the song "Back From the Grave". No idea why it won't give me access to the other songs. That being said, when one of the first bands to come to my mind while hearing that was Municipal Waste, I'd say you're doing the absolute right thing. I'm reminded of our friends in Children of October as well. It's not overly "Horrorfied" either, which to me, makes it more appealing"

-James

Siblings of Samhain, consisting of Danny Demented on lead vocals, Billy Ray Butcher on drums AND guitar, and newest member Kirsty Krypt on backing vocals, are making a mark on the horror punk world. This whole album is about brains and love, or you know the zombie army... They chug right through with catchy melodies a strong powerful beats. The whole EP is at the most 12 minutes long, and in that 12 minutes, they pack a punch. Fast heavy hitting tones really fit the concept and direction of the album. In that short amount of time, they had really persuaded us as fans. They have come a long way from being an acoustic duo, which is still... yep, you guessed it, amazing!

How could you not love an entire album dedicated to the greatest franchise ever?! From the opening "brains" chant, they cover every movie in the Return of the Living Dead franchise. Even if, let's admit it, the drum beats are a little generic on a song or two, still, they keep your attention even with small flaws. You can easily overlook the simple things to simply enjoy the songs. This work is almost entirely different from their past albums, which also brings up the point, that not one album sounds the same. The album even contains an appearance from Send More Paramedics "Medico" as a guest soloist it is a move that's loveable for people in the horror punk scene. It's not overproduced horror punk that sounds just like the next band. We all look forward to hearing more and more.

That's it, in a nutshell, brains, and more brains! We were very excited about the chance to listen to this and it didn't let us down. Song by song they jump right into your brain, pun intended. With pumping drums and catchy riffs, they are out there to steal hearts. You can find all their fun links below!
