Once again The Deathtones are ready to assault your ears with catchy horror rock. A new single is set to be released on March 1st. Leprechaun pays homage to the 1993 classic starring Jennifer Anniston and a killer leprechaun played by Warwick Davis. They once again, do not disappoint. The single is a fun ride through all types of influences on the ears. We start off with a demented Dropkick Murphy's vibe that only get's stronger. The third harmony riffs remind me of Iron Maiden and honestly, I feel a lot of their influence throughout the song.
The composition is very synth heavy done by Billy Bones, who also takes up rhythm guitar and vocals. The steady beats from Mikey Murder on bass and Mr. Grim on drums keep the song moving like a chugging freight train. Then there are the riffs and kickass solos from Killer Pat and Dorian Mordrake which add the perfect amount of harmony. The whole band puts every single note in place, performing as a strong unit considering how they record. In a nutshell, we loved this single. It is the perfect blend of Celtic roots and power metal standards. They hit you hard and leave a lasting impression. we always say we can't wait to hear more from them, and with their non-stop work ethic in producing music, we never have to wait long to hear something awesome!
